New, Aug. 8th

Rhynchostyllis coelestis x Christensonia vietnamica     This is a compact vandaceous hybrid, growing in a 6 inch basket.   They are seedling plants, so that means each one has the same parents, BUT, can look different.   The plant in the picture bloomed for us just before the summer orchid Fest and I sold about 8 plants that were displayed around this one (even though they were not in bloom).  Just in the past two weeks, since the Fest, I have discovered about 7 of these plants in tight spike.  There is no guarantee they will be just like the picture, but they will be similar.  It is an interesting and unusual cross, so if you are a successful grower of vandaceous plants, you will do well with this one. Very Fragrant   6 inch baskets in spike for $40 S1

New, Aug. 8th

Gastrochilus dasypogon    species   4inch baskets in tight spike.    this species is from the eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam at relatively low altitudes.  It can grow in warm to hot conditions and is a small compact plant.  Bright, mostly indirect light is good.   Water and feed year round.     $25 each S2

Masdevallia Inca Snow (coccinea x constricta)   A beautiful, small, white hybrid with good tolerance to warm temperatures.   These are young plants, but they began to bloom in the plug tray even before they could be repotted.   Now, we're growing them in 2 inch pots in our mix of sphagnum moss and they continued to bloom. We will try to provide budded plants but no guarantee  for either of these.  S5
